The CCCS Difference

The Cumberland County Christian School Difference

A New Age of Learning

Every child is respected and treated as a valued individual in our school.

We believe that every child has unique talents and abilities, and we work to help them reach their full potential. Our teachers and staff are caring and supportive, and our curriculum is designed to challenge and engage every student. We offer a variety of extracurricular activities and opportunities for social and emotional growth so that every child can feel a sense of belonging and community.

Students understand their accomplishments building their confidence.

When children see that they are able to achieve what they set out to do, it can boost their self-esteem and make them believe in their abilities. Setting and achieving goals can help build confidence—Cumberland Country Christian School firmly believes this. As a result, setting and achieving goals can help students become confident and successful in other areas of their life, and help them cope with upcoming challenges with a positive outlook.

Our students are taught to respect the work of others and wait for their turn.

To maintain a healthy and productive learning environment, it is important to us that our students respect the work of others which demonstrates their respect for the time and efforts of their fellow students. We aim to cultivate these values in our students by providing them with learning opportunities of waiting or taking turns. Taking this step shows that we too are considerate of their time and respect their work.

We cultivate the spiritual health of our students.

Nurturing and developing one’s spirituality is as important as taking care of yourself, learning new skills, and building meaningful relationships. At CCCS, we do not only focus on boosting our students’ academic capabilities, but fostering their spiritual health, as well. Through bible studies, outreach programs, and other socio-civic activities, we aim to teach our students how to make a difference in the lives of others.

Through repetition and internal success, CCCS students reinforce their own learning.

In order to reinforce the initial information learned by CCCS students, our curriculum incorporates activities that encourage them to repeat the information they are trying to learn. This in turn helps them to build on it moving forward. Our students, with the guidance of our educators, can consolidate their understanding and increase their confidence in their abilities by practicing and reviewing what they have learned. Our educators constantly work on providing opportunities for students to practice and review what they are learning.
