When it comes to developing a strong and healthy community culture, grace and truth must go hand-in-hand. A culture of grace that we foster at CCCS allows for mistakes to be made and learned from,without judgment or fear, and truth to promote open, honest communication that builds trust and respect among the students. By holding each other accountable in love—offering grace when it’s needed and speaking the truth when it’s necessary—we can cultivate a school culture that is humble yet confident.
Character-and Resilience-Building Opportunities for Students
CCCS believes in giving students the best chance at success by emphasizing values like character education in the classroom. This reaches far beyond academics and teaches students important life skills that will help them manage challenges with resilience. By providing activities that encourage collaboration, and ways for the students to express their growth, CCCS is helping to foster an environment in which its students develop the inner strength they need to become strong contributors to society. An Innovative Approach to Teaching
To encourage collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity in our classrooms, our teachers use innovative teaching strategies to engage students in a variety of group learning activities and discussions. CCCS students are encouraged to share their ideas and respect those of others. We promote 21st-century learning skills through problem-based learning that gives students real-world problems that equip them for their future careers.

Through Biblically-informed inquiry and excellent academic knowledge, a Cumberland County Christian School graduate will develop critical thinking skills, exhibit curiosity, and cultivate the discernment to achieve excellence in all areas of life.
